WHY DO WE OFFER WHAT WE OFFER?
At Shipley College, we tailor our adult qualification courses to meet the specific skill requirements of the Bradford region, and we do this by being a key contributor to the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for West Yorkshire.
To develop the skills plan, we worked collaboratively with the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Bradford University, Bradford Council, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and hundreds of micro, small and medium-sized businesses across the Bradford City Region.
By listening to our stakeholders and responding to what they tell us, we are able to align our education and training offer with the precise needs of Bradford's business community.
Key regional sectors were identified, in terms of growth potential and skills needs - including Health & Social Care, Digital & Technology and Leadership & Management. Our courses focus on enhancing existing skills and launching future careers in these sectors, and we can provide the flexibility to enable as many people as possible to access these essential skills.
With availability for classes to be held on-campus, directly on employer premises or hosted online - and often at no cost - we can help ensure a well-equipped future workforce for Bradford.
