‘Step Into’ programmes are our way of helping local people move from unemployment into employment in the sector of their choice.

Enrolling onto a 'Step Into' course, such as Childcare for example, can help you to acquire essential caregiving skills.

Each course is designed to provide you with both technical and soft skills, including customer service and digital skills, that local employers are looking for in candidates. These courses have a duration of 6 to 12 weeks and equip you with not just sector-specific knowledge but also the fundamental skills required to interact with customers and represent your future employer in the best possible way. Our 'Step Into' courses are constructed with the aim of helping you secure employment, and we have gathered input from local employers to create them.

Courses include:

  • Step Into Health & Social Care
  • Step Into Childcare
  • Step Into Teaching Assistant
  • Step Into Gardening & Horticulture
  • Step Into Digital
  • Step Into Business & Retail
  • Step Into Warehousing & Storage

(For the list of scheduled upcoming 'Step Into' courses please check the list below)
