“After completing the L2 Rail course at Shipley College, I never imagined how much it would impact my career in the rail industry. The knowledge and skills I gained from the course opened up so many opportunities for me, and I am incredibly grateful for the chance to pursue my passion in this field.

Just a few months after completing the course, and after a few other courses, I was able to secure a job as a points installer, which also includes maintenance responsibilities. The work is truly satisfying, and I take great pride in knowing that I am contributing to the safe and efficient functioning of our rail systems.

Not only has this career provided me with a sense of purpose and fulfilment, but the pay has also exceeded my expectations. I am able to support myself and my loved ones, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a career that brings me both joy and financial stability.
