WHY CHOOSE THIS COURSE
The T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production focuses on the core knowledge and practical skills that are required to prepare you to enter a range of media, broadcast and production occupations.
During this two year programme you will study a range of topics and learn the core principles of the media industry. You will cover essential theory such as the ‘Creative media economy’,‘Audience and consumer needs’ and ‘project management, methodology and administration’. You will also specialise in an occupational pathway where you will generate ideas, plan the production of create, deliver and evaluate the content for different various media platforms which will support and develop your professional and technical skills.
In addition to the core content , each student will also complete at least one module of occupation- specific content.
The specialisms available in the Media, Broadcast and Production T Level are:
- creative media technician
- events and venues technician
- content creation and production
In addition to this you will complete a 45-60 day industry placement with an employer, which will ensure that you are given a practical insight into the media industry sector, develop and deepen the skills needed for your chosen career and are given the opportunity to embed the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
