Across the two years, you will study a wide range of units. We work closely with local and regional employers, who tell us what to teach, and when. From the very start of your course, you will develop industry relevant knowledge and skills through units such as: Safeguarding, Working in Social Care, Communication, Values and Behaviours and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Entry requirements
4 x GCSE grade 4 to include English or maths. You will re-take your English or maths GCSEs as part of your course, if below a G4. A clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at the start of the course.
Progression Information
Successful completion of this course can lead to higher level study at university in a range of courses such as: Social Care, Health Care, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling. Full time work or a higher level apprenticeship may also be an option for those looking to progress into employment.
