This course offers an excellent introduction if you are considering a career in floristry and have a passion for flowers, it can also be a great progression from the Level 1 qualification.
You will learn a range of practical techniques including
- gift-wrapping
- hand-tied bouquets
- constructing arrangements
- principles of floristry design and retailing
To support this, you will need to gain industry experience in a retail florist shop. You are assessed on your practical skills and theory knowledge. After completion of this course you can progress on to the Floristry Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma and/or enter the industry as an employed or self-employed florist. This is a 2 year programme.
Please note, you will be expected to purchase your own supply of flowers each week and to adhere to Health & Safety rules.
