Shipley College's Print Making course is designed for those who want to be introduced to a range of print making techniques. You will develop the basic skills required to continue using them after the course. Examples include:
Monoprinting – using oil based relief printing inks you will produce one-off multicolour prints working with paper stencils and our presses.
Collograph – you will use collage to create images that will be printed using our presses.
Screenprinting - you will be supported through transferring your image onto a screen coated with photosensitive emulsion, image registration and printing in two colours using water-based inks.
Linocut – Single colour. Using specialist cutting tools you will be shown how to safely cut lino and print using relief inks, rollers, presses, barens and burnishers.
You will learn each of the processes in a supportive environment with all equipment and materials provided as part of the course fee.
