Shipley College offers a Cake Decoration course that is perfect for beginners and intermediates looking to expand and develop their skills. Over the ten-week courses, you will learn various techniques that will enable you to produce a professional-looking cake. The course will provide you with fresh ideas and inspire you to be creative, allowing you to push yourself further than you thought possible. This course is for anyone interested in cake decorating and looking to improve existing skills. By the end of the course, you will have the confidence to work on your own cakes, explore different decorating ideas and make cakes for friends and family with ease. It could even lead to a start in commercial cake decorating.

Autumn Term - A festive royal icing flood filled church with over piping and stained-glass windows. Complemented with winter flowers, pinecones and holly for a stunning centre piece cake.

Spring Term - A chocolate cake with chocolate roses, leaves, and butterflies. We will explore piping in chocolate, making a collar and other techniques.

Summer Term - A garden cake with vegetables and flowers. With beds and boxes. We will make garden tools including a watering can, trowel, and plant pots. We will also make some cute mice.
