Shipley College’s Open Day on the evening of 5th March 2025 exceeded all expectations, setting a new record for attendance and applications.

It’s not often that students can say they’re following in the footsteps of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but media students at Shipley College are reaching for the stars—literally! Thanks to a groundbreaking collaboration with Space Hub Yorkshire (SHY), students are taking part in a mission to showcase Yorkshire’s growing space sector, proving that the region is in the race for the final frontier.
