Record Numbers Attend Shipley College Open Day, Defying Expectations

Shipley College’s Open Event on the evening of 5th March 2025 exceeded all expectations, setting a new record for attendance and applications. Visitors were welcomed to the Salt Rock Café and the event drew a significant number of prospective students and their parents, many of whom were eager to explore the exciting career pathways available at the College.

A spokesperson for Shipley College commented, “It was incredibly encouraging to see such a fantastic turnout. We recorded a record number of attendees, and more importantly, 31 individuals made the decision on the night to commit to a course for the 2025/26 academic year. Traditionally, March has been a slower month for college enrolments nationwide, so these figures are truly remarkable.”

Parents were particularly keen to support their children in taking the next step in their education, with strong interest in courses spanning Health & Care, Fashion & Art, Esports, Game Design, Content Creation, Business, Apprenticeships, and even Midwifery, among many others.
