WORK PLACEMENTS

Taking students on work placements is a great way to contribute to your community, and just as importantly, is a great way for you to address skills
or staffing shortages in your business.


Work placements take various forms to suit your needs. You can get in touch with our friendly and experienced Work Experience team at any time to discuss these and take it from there. 

Some employers who are looking for a longer-term arrangement will take T-Level students on relevant subjects, so they typically join your team for 2 days a week over a full year, while learning relevant high-level skills at college for the other 3 days. Other employers will simply offer a week or two’s work experience to a student, at a time that is convenient to the business. Some operate in areas where work placements are mandatory - Childcare, for example, has very long-standing arrangements and will take multiple students year after year.

We will work together to find whichever approach suits your needs, you will always be supported by the college throughout, and the placements will not cost your organisation anything. 

To try and ensure that we get the best placement for your business, you can choose to implement a full interview process, the submitting of CVs, or simply request that we get the tutor to recommend individual students. 

However you choose to proceed, taking students on placements is free, and also helps them with their future careers. If they succeed in your team on placement, maybe that career will be with your company?
