Shipley College now offers a range of bespoke short courses to local businesses, in topics such as:

  • managing difficult conversations

  • effective appraisal

  • impactful CPD

  • coaching

  • strategic planning

  • succession planning

Popular courses are scheduled as morning courses (9am-12.15pm) on the College campus in Saltaire - details of upcoming courses are below. 

All courses can then also be co-designed with a local business as a bespoke course in order to meet that organisation's specific requirements. This can be as half-day, full day or whatever course length is required to fulfil business needs. These courses are usually delivered on the employer’s premises.

Chris Morris

Chris co-founded Shoo Social Media and directs its growth strategies. With a diverse background that includes teaching and a psychology degree, Chris excels at delivering high-quality training and understanding customer behaviours in the digital marketing landscape. His entrepreneurial spirit and varied experiences enrich Shoo's educational and community initiatives.

Dr Rebekka Kill

Rebekka has a PhD in adult education, and a Professional Coaching Certificate from Henley Business School. She has worked extensively in senior leadership and has worked with a broad range of people, from all kinds of backgrounds, who want to develop themselves as leaders.

Rachel Hatfield

Rachel, co-founder of Shoo Social Media, has extensive experience in Scotland and Australia's hotel and event management sectors. Her project management and communication skills seamlessly transition into digital marketing, allowing her to understand client needs and oversee operations adeptly. A lifelong learner, Rachel holds an MBA in Executive Leadership and is a visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University. Outside of work, she enjoys riding her horse, JJ, and reflecting on her passion for the outdoors.

Leon Oakley

Leon is a proactive People Manager, who oversees strategic responsibilities for ISO standards and company training programs. With over 18 years of training experience and a decade in leadership, he brings a wealth of knowledge to strategic planning for growth and creating Learning Organisations. Leon holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), underscoring his commitment to excellence in strategic people management.
