Organised by our Year 2 Level 3 Music Students, the event showcased Shipley College's full mix of students and their many talents.
Performances from 9 acts provided entretainment for all. with renditions of songs both past and present along with Software Development's InMoov project, Titus, who acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the show.
The comperes for the show were Travel & Tourism students Merry and Charlotte, who volunteered when the organising committee were asking for people to help. Both had previous experience as comperes after performing the role for their Entertainment For Holiday Makers unit. When asked about the experience, Charlotte said "I was nervous at first and not sure what I had let myself in for. It was a much bigger crowd than I expected and I was scared but excited. I am so proud that I did it, and now that I have I am much more confident to do anything".
The judging pannel of Principal, nav Chohan, Music Student Luke Van Den Broeke and Louise Barton, Chair of Keighley Operatic and Amateur Dramatic Society, had the impossible job of choosing the awards from the talented acts.

Louise Barton said, I am very proud of all their accomplisments, the whole event was very confident and professional, both from the performers to the setup and arrangement. The acts coped well under pressure even when things did not always go to plan and they literally rose to the occasion. Nobody looked nervous and they all managed to perform so well and with confidence in front of quite a big crowd of their friends and fellow students.
Heather Savage added: "It was really good to see the students from all different courses coming together to make this event such a success, with Music Technology students running the event, Creative Digital Media filming the event and Travel & Tourism students comparing the event"
